Health Science Program
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Science provides students with a strong academic foundation in the physical and social sciences while building foundational knowledge and skills for broad practice in public health. Built on the nationally recognized Public Health Foundation’s Core Competencies, the program emphasizes student development in areas such as communication, professional ethics, health equity, social policy, and research methods. Students acquire essential skills in scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which are integral for success in careers in clinical, administrative, and community health professions. The program serves as a pathway for graduates who plan to pursue advanced degrees in osteopathic medicine, chiropractic, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, or other health professions.
