The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) completion program in Dental Hygiene is designed for students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene, hold licensure as a dental hygienist, and wish to continue their education to obtain a baccalaureate degree. This fully online program provides flexibility and allows students to tailor their future career paths, with opportunities in public health, health administration, practice management, and business. Graduates who earn a bachelor’s degree may also qualify to teach in associate degree dental hygiene programs.

*120 credits required for program completion including 39 liberal arts and science electives 31 credits in the major and 50 elective credits.

*D'Youville University  will accept up to 90 transfer credits. Student must earn at least 30 credits at DYU to award a DYU degree.

Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA each semester. Any semester in which the cumulative GPA falls below 2.0, the student will be placed on academic probation for the following semester. If the student does not increase their GPA to 2.0 by the end of the semester after academic probation was first applied, the student may be dismissed from the program.
