Educational Leadership

In our Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, you will engage in the study and practice of transformational leadership while becoming part of a vibrant community of nationally recognized researchers and practitioners. Together, you will explore how to bridge educational leadership and social justice in meaningful, impactful ways. This program is designed for you—whether you are a current or aspiring leader—if you are committed to expanding opportunity and access in education. You will focus on advancing equity, especially for students and communities that have been historically marginalized, while learning how to democratize educational systems. Through the program, you will develop both innovative scholarly knowledge and practical, real-world skills to address complex challenges facing schools and organizations today. The curriculum prepares you as a practitioner-scholar capable of leading lasting, humanizing change in your professional context.

You will also have flexibility in how you complete your doctoral work. In addition to the traditional multi-chapter dissertation, you may choose an applied project option that allows you to focus on practical solutions and outcomes—ideal if you are interested in consulting, presenting, or working in fields beyond higher education.

Courses are designed with your schedule in mind, offered in the evenings with a fully online format, and many are available during the summer. You will learn from experienced faculty who bring extensive leadership expertise and are committed to supporting you as you prepare for your next professional role.
